Some Fort Worth home and business owners were left in the dark early Friday for the second time in as many days.

Oncor reported the area in southwest Fort Worth lost power because of an equipment malfunction.

5,000 home and businesses were without power until about noon on Friday.

Several businesses, including a WalMart and CarToys were left in the dark on one of the busiest shopping days of the year.

The Star-Telegram reported power problems on Thursday were caused by a breaker failure at a substation at Bryant Irvin and I-20.

The incidents did not appear related.
