Bimbo Bakeries Recalls Entenmann's Brownies, Muffins Due to Plastic Pieces

What to Know

  • Bimbo Bakeries voluntarily recalled some Entenmann's muffins and brownies sold in Texas
  • The affected products may contain plastic pieces that pose a cutting and choking risk
  • Anyone who purchased the products should throw them out or return them for a refund

Bimbo Bakeries is recalling several types of Entenmann’s brownies and muffins that were sold in Texas because of small pieces of plastic that might be in the pastries.

The plastic pieces pose a choking and cutting risk. At least one injury has been reported.

Entenmann’s Little Bites Variety 20 pack with a best by date of Sept. 24, 2016 were sold in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and several other states.

The products were distributed to retail stores in the past two weeks. The recalled products have since been removed from store shelves. Consumers who have purchased the recalled products should dispose of them or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Entenmann’s Little Bites Chocolate Chip Muffins, and Entenmann’s Little Bites Fudge Brownies were also affected by the recall, but the affected products were not sold in Texas.
