Driver arrested in Temple

Temple police arrested a driver and found 872 pounds of marijuana in his big rig.

A truck driver is facing drug trafficking charges after his arrest Sunday.
Police pulled Armando Chavarin over on a traffic violation on I-35.
Officers became suspicious after talking with the driver who agreed to a search of his truck.
Inside they found 872 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $872,000.
Chavarin is in the Bell County jail.
