A bicyclist was fatally injured in an early morning crash Sunday in the Bishop Arts District of Dallas, police say.

Around 1:45 a.m., a man was riding a bike westbound on West Davis Street and did not stop at the red light at North Tyler Street, according to the Dallas Police Department. When the bicyclist ran the light, he was struck by a car traveling "at a high rate of speed" with its headlights turned off.

Police said the man who was hit by the vehicle was taken to Methodist Dallas Medical Center and pronounced dead. The man, a 29-year-old, was not identified.

The man driving the vehicle with its headlights off was 22-year-old Sergio Colunga-Ramirez. Police said they arrested him for intoxication manslaughter after they found him under the influence of alcohol.
