Baylor Nursing School to Host 4th Annual Going for the Gold Gala

The Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing is hosting its 4th annual Going for the Gold Gala Saturday Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. at the Hilton Anatole Hotel.

The goal is to raise $1 million for scholarship funds for student nurses and surpass previous attendance records with more than 800 guests.

The event will feature keynote speaker Robert Griffin III and Mike Singletary, NFL coach and Pro Football Hall of Fame member. Baylor Graduate and Fox Sports Radio anchor Deb Carson will serve as emcee.

The evening will also include a silent auction with auctioneer Ken Stohner, a student testimony from Katherine Garcia, and a surprise announcement from Judge Ken Starr and Alice Starr,President and Chancellor and First Lady of Baylor University.

During the live auction, a special football signed by RG3 will be given to the highest bidder in the most appropriate way - catching a pass from RG3 himself.
