Tarrant Regional Water District attorneys have filed an appeal with the United States Supreme Court to review an appeal court's decision to uphold the original dismissal of the TRWD's request to use water resources from Oklahoma.

TRWD planned to apply to the Oklahoma Water Resources Board to grant the use of three water locations in Oklahoma. Before filing their application, the TRWD Board sued nine members of the OWRB to invalidate certain Oklahoma statutes that govern water distribution.

They also filed an injunction to prevent the OWRB from enforcing that policy.

TRWD's General Manager, Jim Oliver issued the following statement regarding their new appeal:

The full statement can be read on the Tarrant Regional Water District's website.
