Bank Employees Donate 200 Coats to Dallas Students

A few hundred students in the Dallas Independent School District will be a little warmer this weekend thanks to the generosity of the employees at First-Southwest Investment Bank.

Employees delivered 200 coats to the the students at William Anderson Elementary on Friday afternoon after an urgent request for coats was issued by the school's staff.

"We are delighted to partner with William Anderson elementary to make an impact in the lives of students," said Boyd London, managing director of FirstSouthwest. "We can't think of a worthier cause and are glad to step up to the plate when students need our help. We hope our efforts will encourage other companies and their employees to find ways to lend a hand."

The employees hoped to raise enough money to purchase 100 coats, but doubled their goal.

The employees of First-Southwest have partnered with the school for five years to provide school uniforms and Christmas presents for the students and their families.
