Committed sex offender Brent Allen Jozefkowicz left the 600 block of North Henderson Street just after 10:30 p.m. and cut off the electronic tracking device he is required to wear. He has a criminal history including sexual assault and indecency with a child. DPS investigators say he is "considered at high risk to re-offend."

Authorities described Jozefkowicz as white, 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 193 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair.

Jozefkowicz was last seen walking on Texas 199 toward Wichita Falls and wearing bluejeans, a red T-shirt and a green poncho, according to authorities. He might be driving a black 1984 Honda Gold Wing Motorcycle (pictured) with the Texas license plate 4UG231.

"We want to make sure that people are paying attention, being observant," Texas DPS Sgt. Lonny Haschel said. "We don't have any information that leads us to believe there are weapons involved, and such, but you never know."

DPS officials asked anyone with information about Jozefkowicz's location to call 911, local police or DPS Communications at 214-861-2040 or 817-657-1999.

"Never grab ahold of or try to apprehend a fugitive on your own," Haschel said. "Try to let law enforcement do that."
