Authorities in Joshua said they are investigating the city's first homicide in more than a year after a fatal shooting overnight Tuesday.[[298281991,C]]
Two people were involved in a confrontation in Fort Worth, authorities said. The two then drove to Joshua and stopped near the intersection of Colorado and Texas Street.
Police said one of the men, 22-year-old Casey James Potts, ran toward the other's truck and was fatally shot.
Potts and the shooter knew each other, according to police.
Witnesses told NBC 5 that Potts recently had a baby.
