Authorities said a suspect has been booked on a murder charge in the weekend fatal shooting of a man outside an East Texas bar.
Smith County jail records show 29-year-old Katyron Jermaine Barrett of Tyler was being held Wednesday with bond set at $500,000. Jail records do not list an attorney for Barrett, who was arrested Tuesday on a warrant.
Tyler police said 30-year-old Brandon Deroyce Gray of Tyler was shot early Sunday outside the Wild Bunch Club and died at a hospital. Police say a gun believed used in the attack was found nearby.
Investigators are trying to determine what led to the shooting.
