Dallas police say they have made an arrest in connection with the fatal stabbing of a mother of two.
Marietta Shaw was found dead from apparent stab wounds inside her Oak Cliff residence at the Ridgewood Terrace Apartments on Friday. Police said Shaw's two children, ages 4 and 2-months-old, were at the residence at the time and were not harmed.
Quavize Jones, 28, was Shaw's boyfriend, police said, and he is currently being held at the Lew Sterrett Justice Center. Police said they've charged him with murder and are holding him on $500,000 bond.
Family friend Ebony Smith said had been seeing the father of her 2-month-old daughter off and on, but they had been fighting recently. According to Smith, he stopped by the apartment to visit them Friday morning.
