2 Dead, 1 Arrested After Arlington Crash

Arlington police say two women were killed and another injured early Sunday morning in a crash involving a suspected drunken driver who ran a red light.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office identified one of the victims as 19-year-old Alexandra Rodriguez. The other deceased woman's name was not released, though police spokeswoman Tiara Richard said the women were all in their early to mid-20s.

Eldrick Westbrook, 38, is in the Arlington City Jail, police said, charged on three counts of intoxication manslaughter. His bail has not been set.

Police said Westbrook drove south on Matlock Road when witnesses said he ran a red light and collided with a vehicle going west on the Interstate 20 service road at about 2 a.m.

The car that was hit spun and hit a traffic light pole in the intersection. One woman died at the scene and one other was transported to the hospital where she died.

Two other passengers, a man and a woman, survived the crash and are being treated at are hospitals. Their conditions are not known.
