Arlington Police Brighten West Children's Christmas

    More than 70 boys and girls bicycles will be given to children in need in the town of West which was rocked by a fertilizer plant explosion on April 17, 2013.

    The Arlington Police Department is trying to make Christmas a little brighter for the children of West.

    The Arlington Police Association left Tuesday to deliver more than 70 bicycles to children affected by this year's fertilizer plant explosion.

    Santa Cops chose the kids in West because many of those kids are still without bikes after losing most, if not all, their possessions in the blast

    The bikes were donated to the Arlington Police Association at their annual margarita ball fundraiser and given to children in kindergarten through fifth grade at West Elementary School.

    Bikes were given to boys and girls during a special assembly on Tuesday.
