Arlington Officer, Driver Injured in Early AM Crash

An Arlington police officer and another driver were injured in a wreck early Saturday morning.

Arlington police said the crash took place at about 4 a.m. at the intersection of Matlock Road and Pioneer Parkway.

Police said a DWI Unit officer was driving a marked patrol car when the cruiser was hit by another vehicle.

The officer and the driver of the other vehicle were both taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
