Arlington Fire Displaces 15 People

Fire breaks out as temperatures hover near the mid-90's.

Firefighters in South Arlington battled an apartment fire on one of the hottest days so far in 2012.

Investigators are trying to find the cause of a fast moving blaze at the River Oaks Apartments.

The flames broke out Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the 4900 block of Tree Crest Drive near I-20.

Firefighters said the fire started in a second story apartment. It was contained to two units. The American Red Cross DFW said an additional four units have smoke and water damage.

In a Twitter message, the Red Cross said that it will be helping 15 people "with a new start" after the fire.

No one was injured.  The temperature hit 94 degrees at the time of the fire.
