Arlington Couple Found Dead in Apartment

Police are investigating the deaths as homicides

The bodies of an Arlington couple were found inside their ransacked apartment Sunday morning.

Police arrived at Long Nguyen and Huong Ly's apartment on Waverly Drive after a family member reported finding a window open and said no one was answering the door.

Nguyen, 72, and Ly, 63, were last seen at a family gathering on Saturday night, police said. Relatives said the couple returned home at about 10 p.m.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has not yet ruled on their cause of death, but Arlington police are investigating their deaths as homicides.

Family spokeswoman Cindy Dao said the couple owned a tailoring shop and was recently planning family birthdays.

"Right now, it's just for them to come to terms, to grips, and accepting the fact they lost two amazing people," Dao said.

Police haven’t said if anything in the apartment was stolen and haven't revealed a possible motive.
