In the midst of soaring temperatures, some residents of an apartment complex have suffered through four days of a power outage.

Eight buildings at the Oaks at Jane Lane Apartments in Haltom City lost power Sunday and six now have their power restored, Dallas-Fort Worth television station KDFW reported.

Management at the complex said Sunday's 103 temperatures proved to be more than its aging system could handle.

Residents have been provided various resources including food, temporary hotel rooms and cots at a cooling shelter. The Red Cross says no one had taken advantage of the shelter as of Wednesday.
