Where's My Bus will help riders track DART's light rail trains and buses.

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is letting you track their buses via Google Maps as it launches a new application called Where's My Bus?

The application lets you chart the progress of your bus with real-time estimates on scheduled arrivals. Riders can access the information via cell phone on DART's mobile Web site m.dart.org.

DART captures GPS information from each operating bus approximately every 70 seconds and the information is fed into an algorithm that tells the riders the location of their bus, the agency said.

The application is the latest feature for DART’s mobile site, which launched in September 2007 to give customers access to route and schedule information.
