A woman is in the hospital after a small fire at a west Fort Worth apartment complex Wednesday morning.

The fire started in a closet of an apartment at the Aden Crest Apartments on the 2200-block of Aden Road at about 4:30 a.m.

The fire was out by the time fire crews arrived.

Firefighters say the smoke got into an adjacent apartment. A woman in that apartment was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. She should fully recover, fire crews said.

A woman and two small children in the apartment above the fire also complained of the smoke. They were treated on the scene.

Investigators are looking into what may have caused the fire.
