American Airlines Suing Gogo, May Change In-Flight Internet Service

American Airlines has put its in-flight WiFi provider Gogo on notice to improve its offerings or risk losing its contract to service 200 of the airlines’ jets.

American notified Gogo earlier this month that it intends to switch wireless providers on a portion of its fleet of Boeing 737s to a competitor offering superior service.

On Friday, the Fort Worth-based airline filed a lawsuit in Tarrant County District Court seeking a ruling on a disputed clause in its 2012 agreement with Gogo.
