An American Airlines flight bound for Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport was diverted Thursday evening due to a disruptive passenger.
Flight 1691 was scheduled to travel from Newark to DFW, but the flight crew directed the plane to St. Louis after a passenger become uncooperative.
The person was then led from the airplane by local authorities, who determined the passenger did not pose a further threat. The passenger will be re-booked on a future flight to DFW, according to the airline.
After the delay, the flight was expected to land at DFW at about midnight.
