Alligator Cornered Outside Junior High in Katy

    Authorities in Katy captured an alligator outside Beck Junior High Wednesday morning. (Published Wednesday, Aug 13, 2014)

    Authorities are trying to wrangle an alligator cornered outside a junior high school in Katy.

    Teachers in the Katy Independent School District were preparing for the start of school when the gator was spotted on tthe campus of Ellen Beck Junior High outside Houston.

    The animal was first by the front door but eventually moved to the other side of campus where it was cornered near some air conditioning units, according to KPRC-TV.

    Fort Bend County Sheriff's deputies duct taped the gator's mouth and dragged him away from the school.
