Sunday afternoon storms sparked flash flooding from Fort Worth all the way into Kaufman County.

The first reports of flash flooding came in from Fort Worth along Hulen Street near I-30.

Heavy rain caused flash flooding in Tarrant County near Hulen Street and I-30 on Sunday afternoon.

East Dallas, near Deep Ellum, saw nearly two inches of rain all at once.

It led to several reports of high water and in some cases, parked cars floating up and over the sidewalk.

The owner of one car near Exall Park says that within seconds her parked 2011 sedan was floating.

Then waves from cars driving by swept her car up onto the sidewalk.

Anna Chesman says the water went up to the windows, causing damage to the inside.

She recently moved to Dallas from Illinois.

Her car was broken into three days ago and now this.

"Welcome to Dallas," she said about going though a flash flood. "Just how quickly everything can change in a matter of time and I feel bad for everyone else because my car wasn’t the only one it happened to."

Baylor University Medical Center was also hit hard by flooding.

One driver recovered his rain soaked car and water gushed out of the exhaust.

On North Henderson and Belmont, police had to step in and handle traffic after several cars stalled and had to be towed, after taking on water.
