Activists Demand Pastor Apologize After Islam Comments

Activists are demanding that Dr. Robert Jeffress, pastor of First Baptist Dallas, apologize for comments he made during a church service days after the terrorist attacks in Paris.

Jeffress said that Islam was "inspired by Satan himself."

The pastor addressed his comments during an interview with NBC 5 Tuesday.

"I do believe that Islam and all false religions are inspired by Satan to lead them away from the one true God," Jeffress said.

The activists said everyone in Dallas should outraged by the pastor's comments.

"Stop using the Bible as a blunt instrument of hate," said Rev. Dr. Jeff Hood. "His congregation should also reject this hate."

More than 12,000 people attend First Baptist Church in Dallas.
