Nobody has been hurt in a sewer system natural gas leak that prompted the evacuation of about 50 homes near Houston.
A Rosenberg Fire Department spokeswoman says crews worked Thursday to locate the break.
Barbara Smolik said the evacuation order was issued Wednesday night for a four-block area. About half of those residents were allowed to go home Thursday morning as crews narrowed the search for the leak.
Smolik said the leak was traced to the water-sewer system but repair crews worked to find the exact spot.
A shelter was set up at a church in Rosenberg, about 25 miles southwest of Houston.
