American Airlines pilots walked out of a negotiating session Monday, less than 10 minutes into the meeting with a federal mediator.

The pilots accused the company of ignoring the mediator's agenda for the day and trying to avoid the issues they were scheduled to talk about.

This is the first time pilots have walked out during the process.

They said they will show up for this Tuesday's session.

Also on Tuesday, the mechanics and baggage handlers kicked off an intense round of negotiations and the company is hopeful that they'll be closer to a deal by end of this week.
