Baylie McCallum said a neighbor who watched an NBC 5 report told her about Miranda Nightingale. Nightingale had a brain injury and was receiving treatment from Carrick Brain Center in Irving. There she met a retired Navy Seal who befriended by showing her pictures of his miniature horse. She told him her dream was to see one, and her new friend surprised her by having a couple of them meet with her in February at the Equestrian Center in Las Colinas. Fast forward a few months, Baylie McCallum decided to give the two miniature horses she had -- a mother and a baby -- to Miranda. On Friday, the two girls met for the first time and exchanged hugs. Baylie said she was sad to see her horses leave, but she knew they were going to a better place to help someone very special.
