Police say an investigation continues into the death of a 7-year-old boy who died after being struck by a vehicle in Hidalgo County.
The Brownsville Herald reports that Weslaco police responded to a report of a crash around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Sgt. Bernie Garza says authorities believe the unidentified child was riding his bicycle in the parking lot of an apartment complex when he rode in front of an SUV driven by a 37-year-old woman.
Garza says the child was taken to a hospital in Harlingen where he later died of his injuries.
