Police in South Texas say three men have been accused of answering a 14-year-old girl's Facebook offer to have sex with them for money.

The Monitor in McAllen reports the men allegedly exchanged text messages with the girl and were arrested while trying to meet her.

A criminal complaint was filed Tuesday in federal court in McAllen. Authorities said the suspected illegal immigrant posted explicit photos of herself online and also shared them via cellphone.

Pharr police Chief Ruben Villescas said the girl confessed to her mother after allegedly contracting a sexually transmitted disease. The woman last month gave her daughter's cellphone to investigators, who posed as the girl to text with possible customers.

Police said the three men face charges including solicitation of a minor, coercion and enticement.
