Commuters who ride the Trinity Railway Express trains were delayed Tuesday.
DART spokesperson Morgan Lyons confirms to NBC 5 that an 18-wheeler struck a column on a bridge on Interstate 35 near Commonwealth in Dallas.
The trains cross over the bridge, but the bridge was closed for a short time so TxDOT crews could inspect it to make sure it was safe.
The bridge has since reopened and TRE trains are moving through the area again.
