Police are seeking a man accused of killing his girlfriend and the grandfather of some of her children in gunfire on a Southeast Texas street.

Beaumont police on Wednesday prepared a capital murder warrant for Jose Wilfredo Chinchilla.

The bodies of Francisca Garza and Gregorio Sanchez were found on a street Tuesday night.

Sgt. Rob Flores Jr. says Garza has several children and Chinchilla is the father of one of the youngsters. Police are trying to determine whether the suspect's child was one of two youngsters being dropped off at the Sanchez home when the couple argued.

Chinchilla fled in a green 2005 Ford pickup with Texas license plate: AM2-2629.

The suspect faced an outstanding warrant for assault-family violence before Tuesday's gunfire. Flores had no immediate details on that case.
