Authorities tell the Marshall News Messenger the aircraft went down north of Waskom about 4 a.m. Monday when it apparently ran out of fuel.

The plane had left Harrison County Airport near Marshall, flew to adjacent Gregg County and was headed back to Marshall when it crashed.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating.
