Officials said two people escaped unharmed from a fire inside their Highland Village home overnight Thursday.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and flames shooting from a one-story home in the 120 block of Hickory Ridge Drive around midnight.
Crews from Lewisville and Flower Mound helped make quick work of the fire, and no injuries were reported.
It's not clear what sparked the fire. An investigation is ongoing.
