The Dallas County Sheriff's Office says two men were killed Wednesday morning after being ejected from an SUV in a violent crash along Interstate 35E near Downtown Dallas.
According to the sheriff's office, the SUV was on I-35E when a tire blew out. The SUV then hit a sign and a pole before coming to a stop on the service road. At some point in the crash, two men inside the SUV were ejected.
Police said there was a female in the SUV who survived the crash and was hospitalized. While they have not yet released her name or age, they did say she is a young female.
"We didn't know she was in there, then she started screaming, so we knew someone was in there," said Billy Rogers, a witness to the crash.
Rogers told NBC 5 that one of the men ejected from the vehicle was struck by another motorist who never stopped to help.
"Worstest wreck I've ever seen. Sorry for ever it is," said Rogers. "It slung his body out and some car coming off the freeway ran him over and kept going. Tore him up pretty bad."
Deputies won't confirm one of the victims was run over, but will say the Vehicle Crimes Unit is investigating.

Investigators are checking a nearby county halfway house for any video of the deadly wreck.
The southbound service road is shut down between Continental Avenue and the Dallas North Tollway while the crash scene is investigated and cleared of debris.
