2 Drive-By Shootings, 2 Victims in Dallas

Police are searching for several people following two shootings

Dallas police are searching for a gunman and a several people after two separate shootings that took place only minutes apart Monday morning.

Investigators believe the drive-by shootings are connected.  Both victims gave similar descriptions of the car used in the shootings and of the men inside of the car.

At 1:11 a.m., a man said he’d been sitting at a bus stop with a friend in the 600-block of E. Jefferson Boulevard, when a car passed and shots rang out.  Police believe the man was shot in the arm from a pellet gun or possibly a small caliber bullet.  He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The victim told police that the suspects were in a dark-colored car.

About five miles away, at 1:29 a.m., a woman said she was walking in the 3600-block of Fordham Road.  She told investigators a dark blue car with three men inside pulled up and asked for directions.  She’d been approaching the car to help when she said a man pulled out a pellet gun, shot her in the shoulder and drove off.  She then flagged down a passing police officer.  Paramedics treated her on the spot.

Police believe the same suspects are responsible for both shootings.

The suspects will face aggravated assault charges once they’re caught.
