2 Dead in Shooting at Dallas Apartment Complex

Dallas police say two men died in an exchange of gunfire after one of the men tried to rob the other at an apartment complex on the 3200 block of Persimmon Road late Thursday night.

Police say 28-year-old Kenny Curtron and another person were walking through the complex at about 11:45 p.m. when 24-year-old Jarmell Thornton tried to rob them.

Police said Curtron and Thornton then exchanged gunfire.

Both Curtron and Thornton were taken to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, where were they pronounced dead.
