Authorities said two people are dead after a car crashed into Prairie Creek in Dallas early Monday morning. [[330651781,C]]
Dallas County Sheriff's deputies said they found the Chrysler 300 in the creek just off the U.S. 175 service road near Prairie Creek Road at about 2 a.m.
The male driver and female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not yet been released.
The eastbound service road was closed while authorities extracted the vehicle from the creek.
Authorities said speed was a factor in the crash.
