2 Arrested in Texas Armored Vehicle Heist

Two people suspected in an armored vehicle heist in Amarillo, Texas, were arrested Wednesday at a Colorado Springs hotel.

Police say they arrested Trent Michael Cook, the 24-year-old driver of the armored vehicle. A second suspected accomplice was arrested but not identified.

The Gazette reports that Colorado Springs police were tipped by Amarillo authorities where to find Cook and the accomplice. Police did not elaborate.

The $200,000 stolen in the robbery has been recovered.

Cook and the money had been missing since Monday morning, when the armored car was found running and the cargo was gone.
