The three right lanes of southbound LBJ Freeway at La Prada Parkway are blocked after an 18 wheeler hit a fire truck responding to an crash in the area, according to Mesquite police.
The driver of the 18 wheeler was pulled over after hitting the mirror of the fire truck, but police said the driver may not have known he hit the fire truck.
Police said traffic is stop-and-go and the route should be avoided if possible while they investigate the cause of the collision.
The identity of the truck driver has not been released. No injuries have been reported.
