Gaspar Enciso, 17, confessed to killing a man whose body fell out of a moving vehicle that he was driving on Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway on Feb. 18, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
Enciso told authorities he stabbed Pedro Calixto-Velenta multiple times, including in his throat, after an argument, according to the affidavit.
A witness who was waiting for a green light on the 12900 block of Coit Road told law enforcement she saw a body fall out of a white Chevrolet Trail Blazer that was traveling southbound. The witness told detectives she noticed a disturbance inside the vehicle before the car sped away from the scene.
Velenta was later pronounced dead at Medical City Hospital.
A short time later the sport utility vehicle was involved in a crash with another vehicle at 12200 Coit Road. The driver exited the vehicle and ran, jumping through an apartment fence. Several eyewitnesses said the man was wearing a white shirt covered in what appeared to be blood, according to the affidavit.
Once detectives arrived at the crash they collected evidence that lead to the arrest of Enciso.
Officers found two Chase Bank receipts inside the SUV, according to the affidavit. Detectives obtained photographs of Velenta and an unknown man at a Chase Bank ATM less than two miles from where Velenta fell out of the SUV. The affidavit states that Velenta's roommate and another person who identified the unknown man in the ATM photos as Enciso.

According to the arrest warrant, detectives also found Velenta's phone inside the SUV that contained incoming text messages that appeared to be argumentative in nature from a phone number that belonged to Enciso.
Enciso was arrested and transported to Lew Sterrett Jail for a first-degree felony charge. Police said he's being held on $150,000 bond.
