2 Rescued from Loose Scaffold at Frisco Construction Site

One person was rescued from scaffolding that came loose at a construction site in Frisco Monday morning, police said.

Officials said the scaffold came loose near the sixth floor of a hotel under construction on Cowboys Way just after 9 a.m.

There were two workers on the scaffolding at the time of the failure, one of whom was able to lower himself down to the ground.

The second worker was rescued by Frisco firefighters after about 30 minutes.

The workers, who were installing insulation at the time, were attached to the scaffold and an independent harness system.

Frisco firefighters said neither construction worker was injured.

It's not yet clear what caused the scaffolding to fail.
