1 Dead, 1 Injured After Roadway Shooting

Police are searching for the person(s) who shot at a vehicle that killed one man and injured another in Dallas Tuesday night.

At 10:19 p.m., police responded to a call for help from a man who said he'd been shot in the leg and that his passenger, 22-year-old Cedric Caddell, had been fatally shot in the head.

The victim's car, a Chevrolet Malibu, was riddled with bullet holes after someone opened fire on the pair.

The survivor, whose name has not yet been released, was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital, in Dallas.  His condition is not known.

Police said witness accounts led investigators to the 10900-block of Goodnight Lane in Dallas where investigators found evidence of the shooting.

Additionally, methamphetamine and marijuana were seized from both the victim's car and his passenger, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, no arrests have been made and no suspects have been revealed.  The only description provided so far is that the shooter may have been in a black Jeep Wrangler.
