iBaby Video Helps You Keep An Online Eye On Your Baby

North Texas couple creates live-streaming baby monitor

A Lewisville couple is taking baby monitors onto the Internet.

iBaby Video works like a baby monitor and streams the video live online. With a webcam and an iBaby subscription, you can watch your baby anywhere in the world on a computer, an iPhone, an iPad and, soon, on Android systems.

The monitor also records for two minutes when it senses motion or sound.

"That way you can go back and see what woke up the baby, was there something in particular that caused the baby to move or make a sound?" said Leslie Thompson, she and her husband own the company that developed iBaby Video.

Parents can also share the video stream with friends and family by purchasing separate passwords. Funmi Nwokolo, a mother of two and iBaby Video member shares the website with out-of-town family members.

"My family is in Atlanta, and my husband's family is in Houston, so I've actually sent both my mother and my mother-in-law logins so they can access it so they'll be able to watch their granddaughter too," she said.

IBaby Video memberships start at $19.95 per month.
