Officer Jerry Varney was working traffic in front of Pizza Hut Park when he noticed a familiar truck driving by. Turns out it was his pick-up truck.

"I couldn't believe it. I was just like, you've got to be kidding me. I live an hour away and I'm thinking, 'How am I going to get home?'" the Frisco police veteran said.

After a brief chase and with the help of officers on the scene, Varney caught up to his truck and the driver.

James Herring, 22, now faces felony theft and evading charges.
