With temperatures nearing 100 degrees in the DFW area, it seems that even the bad guys are looking for places to cool off.

Irving police made a traffic stop Saturday night near MacArthur and Las Colinas Boulevards.  When officers tried to arrest the passenger in the car on an unrelated charge, he ran. After a short struggle, the man took off for a nearby Kroger store.

According to police reports, officers found the man hiding inside a store freezer, where they arrested him.

The man is now cooling his heels at the Irving Jail.
