A man accused of shooting a Waxahachie woman in the face at NorthPark Center in May was found guilty Wednesday of aggravated robbery.
Mary Boyd was waiting in her car for her daughter when she was shot in a NorthPark Center parking lot during an attempted carjacking.
Demond Stuard, 28, is one of two men accused in the carjacking. He and Anton Wallace were charged in connection with the attack two months later.
Stuard's defense attorneys say their client was at the crime scene that night but did not shoot Boyd.
Boyd, who needed facial reconstruction surgery, testified Tuesday in Stuard's trial.
"I will never forget that face," she said.
Boyd saw the faces of Stuard and Wallace on the news after they were charged and identified Stuard as the shooter.
But defense attorneys said it taints her testimony.
"The fact that someone was already arrested is suggestive to her that, yes, they got the right person," said Kenneth Weatherspoon, Stuard's lawyer.
Sentencing begins Thursday.
