Police Chief on Leave, 3 Officers Fired in Sansom Park

The mayor of a small Fort Worth suburb says his police chief is on paid administrative leave and three officers have been fired amid an investigation into allegations that include sexual harassment.

Sansom Park Mayor Jim Barnett said he doesn't expect patrols to be affected after nearly a fourth of the 13-member police force was let go in the city of 4,500.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Monday that Barnett said the complaints from current and former police employees involved sexual harassment and issues with department procedures and policies. The mayor wouldn't elaborate.

A phone number for police Chief Tony White couldn't be located.

The mayor said complaints came from at least seven people, men and women. No criminal charges have been filed.
