Another Texas soldier has died in Afghanistan.

Staff Sgt. Shawn McNabb, 24, of Terrell, was among a group of soldiers killed late Sunday night when the helicopter they were in went down shortly after they completed a mission.

McNabb was a combat medic who had already completed three tours in Iraq.

He graduated from Terrell High School in 2003.

A memorial service will be held Friday in Georgia where his fiancée lives.
