A man shown on videotape coaxing two toddlers into smoking marijuana has pleaded guilty.

Vanswan Polty was sentenced to seven years in prison in a plea deal Tuesday, after pleading guilty to two charges of injury to a child and other unrelated charges.

Polty's trial was set to start this week, and he had faced up to life in prison if convicted of a felony charge of engaging in organized criminal activity.

Polty, 20, and a teenage uncle of the 2-year-old and 4-year-old were seen in the video found by police last year in the Fort Worth suburb of Watauga.

Drug tests performed on the children revealed they had marijuana and cocaine in their system. The children have since been placed in foster care.

Demetris McCoy, 18, pleaded guilty to injury to a child charges in July and agreed with prosecutors to testify against Polty.
