A Tarrant County Jail inmate on the run for two days was captured Thursday night when police made a "dynamic entry" into his girlfriend's apartment, police said.

Gregory Donald, 21, did not resist when officers stormed the apartment, said Tarrant County Sheriff's spokesman Terry Grisham.

"We did make a dynamic entry," Grisham said. "A dynamic entry is when we do not knock. We knock the door down."

Members of the U.S. Marshal's fugitive task force and Dallas police officers assisted with the arrest in the 3400 block of Fordham Road.

Two women and three children, one of them an infant, were also in the apartment. Nobody was hurt.

Donald shaved his head after his escape to change his appearance, Grisham said.

He escaped on Tuesday at about 12:45 p.m. while probation officers were transporting him back to the jail from a drug treatment program in Mansfield and stole Reva Wair's car.

Wair said a man in an orange-striped jumpsuit approached her outside her Fort Worth apartment complex on Tuesday afternoon.

"He said, 'Ma'am, give me your keys and give me your truck," she said.

"He said, 'Because if you don't, I'm going to kill you. I got a gun,'" Wair said.
